Media Center Policies
- We encourage all students to use proper book etiquette upon checking out a library book (i.e. do not "dog ear" pages as a bookmark, keep books dry, return books on time).
- Upon checking out a book, students must report any damage for repair prior to leaving the Media Center.
- Students are responsible for any lost or damaged library books and will be expected to pay a replacement cost for the book in cash or check. A note will be sent home with the replacement cost upon damage/lost notification.
- Kindergarten, first, and second grade students are allowed to check out one book.
- Third, fourth, and fifth grade students are allowed to check out two books.
- All students may check out library books for a period of two weeks. After two weeks, the students must return or renew the book.
- Overdue notices are sent out monthly. There are no fines charged for overdue items, but prompt return is expected. Students with overdue books may be restricted from further borrowing until the overdue books are returned or renewed.
